This is a collection of links that started out in a very loosely defined “House” category. Of course
that category got looser and looser as time passed. Due to the fact that House sits firmly in Garages roots
and the Chillout scene has been pumping the four four beats for a really long time. My Downtempo folder
is also filled with tracks that have a kick pumping on the fours, so I guess it’s about tempo as well as mood.
Seems like the UK has a very slow “Ambient House” thing going on
these days. Exemplified by this sweet little number here.
I keep hearing more and more tracks like this from there. As always I don’t know what to call it … I guess it’s really
what the Chillout scene has been doing for ages. But that’s another post.

Ghostly! Really hard to categorize this one. It’s actually a really beautiful Ambient track as
far as I’m concerned, but in the end the minimal kick won out.

Yes this one is very much a house track … on the Tribal side. A banger…. but unfortunately only a 1 minute
clip. Phooey!

The description for this one says it’s a “Techno House” track. That sounds about right. For me there’s something Classic
Electro about it. Like it’s gonna break out into a Newcleus track.

Sounds like it was originally sent out on radio waves in the late 80s as
a Classic House track, but then it bounced off Jupiter and came back 25 years later
all twisted up and with extra long breakdowns. Nice.
